“What happens to my child after high school? Will he/she be able to find meaningful employment? What about college? What about public and private benefits?” These are some of the long-term questions that families of students with disabilities ask when they face the daunting task of making decisions about what is best for their students’ future.

Answers to these questions and more will be addressed on Saturday, February 17th 2018 at Trident Technical College from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm during the 3rd annual Transition Fair.

The Transition Fair is sponsored by the Charleston County School District (CCSD), Berkeley and Dorchester County School Districts, The City of Charleston and the Charleston Collaborative Action Network (CAN); a collaborative network of services for all persons with disabilities within Charleston County. Admission is free and open to the public. The purpose is to share information about services available to help students who are transitioning (or will be transitioning in the next few years) from school to post-secondary education, employment, and/or independent living. There will be information for students with all types and levels of disabilities. State and local vendors will also be present to provide information for students and parents.
